Meg Quinlan APD MDiet

Master of Dietetics with Distinction, Monash University | Bachelor of Food Science & Human Nutrition, University of Newcastle

Hello, I’m Meg!

I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Master of Dietetics from Monash University, with a background in providing medical nutrition therapy in paediatric, disability, and adult populations, applying a family-value centric approach to person-centred care.

In addition to being a Dietitian, I also have 2.5 years experience as a Paediatric Feeding Therapist, having completed two SOS Approach to Feeding Therapy courses, as well as DIR Floortime.

I am experienced in addressing nutrition gaps, while working with families to address fussy eating, limited food acceptance, and creating positive family mealtime environments.

As a vegan myself, I specialise in vegan and plant-based nutrition across the lifecycle, and I am passionate about empowering people to achieve nutritional adequacy with an evidence-based and practical approach. I am experienced in providing nutrition therapy and management for a range of clinical conditions, including iron deficiency anaemia, low FODMAP diets for IBS and intolerance, renal disease, oncology, diabetes, gastrointestinal disease, including irritable bowel disease (Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), Diverticulitis, malnutrition and enteral nutrition.

Prior to my Dietetics career, I completed a Bachelor of Food Science and Human Nutrition in 2015 at the University of Newcastle, and spent 3.5 years working as a Research & Development Food Scientist, experimenting, developing & improving recipes for well-known Australian food & beverage brands. I have created many new products and seen them come to life on supermarket shelves.
